Led by directors Stephen Hyland and Sonja Neame, the Ravensgate team of specialists offer expertise in base metals, gold, uranium, coal as well as precious and industrial minerals. The Ravensgate team are committed to meeting or exceeding the requirements of each and every client.

Stephen Hyland - Director and Principal Consultant - Resources
BSc Geology, AusIMM, CIMM, GAA

Stephen has more than twenty years experience in exploration geology and resource modelling in Australia, Africa, Central and South East Asia as well as Eastern and Western Europe. This experience encompasses gold, base and precious metals and industrial minerals.

Before establishing Ravensgate Stephen served three and half years as Principal Resource Geologist for Eagle Mining Corporation NL where he gained extensive resource modelling experience and was a key player in the development of the Nimary Mine in the Yandal Gold Province of Western Australia.

Stephen leads the Ravensgate team by sharing knowledge in mineral deposit evaluation, resource estimation, software training and compliance reporting. Stephen´s expertise in the production of geological and resource block models using Minesight 3D mine evaluation and design software has seen him consulting for industry heavyweights Goldfields Ashanti, Newmont Mining Corporation and Newcrest Mining Limited.

Sonja Neame - Director and General Manager
Grad Dip Bus. Mgmt, MAICD

Sonja Neame has been involved in the mining industry since 1988 as an employee of various companies serving the mineral resources, oil and gas industries in Western Australia.

Prior to joining Ravensgate in 2004, Sonja was Administration Manager for mining consultants Resource Service Group (RSG) from 1993 and RSG Global from 2002. Sonja played a crucial role in RSG´s expansion, particularly offshore into Ghana, South Africa and South America, implementing accounting and administration procedures and corporate and governance compliance.

Sonja brings to Ravensgate her extensive corporate knowledge and ability to establish and implement business processes and procedures in start-up and offshore environments. Sonja assumes responsibility for the Corporate Management of Ravensgate and also assists clients in their set up phase offshore.
