Ravensgate has comprehensive modelling and resource estimation capabilities utilizing cutting edge geostatistical techniques. We routinely provide these services for the following commodities:
- Precious metals
- Gold
- Base metals
- Uranium
- Coal
- Industrial minerals
Resource estimation: is a systematic process that begins with the evaluation of the project drillhole, sampling and geological interpretation data. Drillhole and sample(assay) databases are created and then assessed in order to determine if they meet qualitative data requirements necessary to satisfy the requirements of industry codes (JORC and NI 43-101) to produce a quality resource model. The next steps in this process are geological modelling, geostatistical analysis and block modelling followed by resource estimation and classification.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Quality assurance: is the assembly of all planned and systematic actions necessary to provide adequate confidence that a product, process or service will satisfy given quality requirements.
To this end Ravensgate will:
- Assess the quality and appropriateness of the assaying and laboratory procedures used and whether the technique is fit for purpose.
- Assess assay data for precision and accuracy.
Quality control: The operational techniques and activities that are used to satisfy quality requirements.
Ravensgate will assess all methods in use and results already obtained from sampling programmes and advise on the following:
- Documenting of sampling, assay procedures and geological logging procedures to ensure industry best practice is followed.
- Advising on analytical methodology from grassroots exploration to resource evaluation
- The use of reference materials (standards) to facilitate statistical control of the analytical process.
- The use of blanks to monitor sample preparation carryover
- The use of duplicates to assess sampling, preparation and analytical variance
- Twinned holes to quantify sampling error
- Assay checking via an umpire laboratory testing or via a different method of analysis
